This guide will discuss some of the common challenges facing organizations, places to start when looking for non-dues revenue ideas, and the mindset needed to create lasting opportunities for your association. Because there are many ways for organizations to generate income, defining and experimenting with non-dues revenue opportunities can be a challenge. Books published in 2020-2021 entered in last year’s competition are welcome to be resubmitted for consideration again this year with the appropriate entry fee.For associations, revenue falls into two categories – dues revenue, meaning the cost for your membership, and non-dues revenue, which is basically everything else.No formal letter of nomination is needed. Books may be entered into the competition by authors, publishers, book editors, or colleagues.Books must have been peer-reviewed independently of its author(s).(We allowed books an extra year of eligibility these last two years due to coronavirus our 2022 contest returns to normal eligibility rules that books must have been published in the last two years.) Book publication year may be 2020, 2021, or 2022 (through the submission deadline).
